Q) What is an apostille and where do I get one?

A) An apostille is a seal which legalizes documents for international use. In order for a document to receive an apostille, it must first be notarized by a notary public. The table below provides information on receiving an apostille in each of the states under the Atlanta Consulate General’s jurisdiction.
